Is this course suitable for me?

This course is suitable for riders who operate ATV's on mild gradients with reasonable traction.

We only train 4 delegates at a time, so you’re guaranteed a high level of attention from your instructor.

What will I learn?

The syllabus covers a full explanation and inspection of the vehicle, its specialist controls and what it can (and can’t) do.

The practical riding element of the course includes:

  • Vehicle daily checks
  • Understanding the controls
  • Confirmation of appropriate PPE
  • Starting the ATV
  • Moving off
  • Use of throttle
  • Use of clutch (where appropriate)
  • Use of transmission
  • Use of brakes
  • Reversing
  • Steering
  • Emergency Stop
  • Dismounting and securing the ATV

Where will the training happen?

All training will take place at Experience the Country or at your chosen location.

Can I bring my own vehicle?

We can train you in one of our quad bikes, or you can bring your own (subject to suitability).
